These found, dead roots were once alive - once stretching, reaching out to those elements that allowed it to live. Here they are painted on man-made acrylic panel, using man-made oil paints and mediums, in attention-grabbing bright colors.

Plastic is here to stay. We have to come to terms with nature's dwindling presence. Nature learns to live with humanity's overwhelming presence.
